Bharatiya Railway Mall Godam Shramik Sangha (BRMGSS) is a registered national trade union and welfare body representing railway goods shed workers (Mall Godam Shramik) across Indian Railways zones and divisions.

The BRMGSS LMS mobile application is designed specifically for registered members, goods shed workers, field enrollment officers, and administrators to facilitate digital membership records, identity verification, welfare claims, and organizational communications.

In accordance with Google Play Developer Policies, the BRMGSS LMS application requests the following runtime permissions strictly for user-consented, functionality-driven purposes:

4 Offline-First Architecture & Data Synchronization

Due to the remote locations of many railway goods sheds with intermittent internet connectivity, the BRMGSS LMS app incorporates an offline-first storage mechanism. When an officer conducts field registrations without an active internet connection:

• Data is stored locally in an encrypted on-device database.
• Once internet connectivity is restored, the data is securely synchronized via encrypted HTTPS/TLS protocols to the central BRMGSS servers.
• Locally queued temporary data is purged or marked completed following successful cloud synchronization.

5 How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for legitimate union administration, member welfare, and security purposes, including:

• Authenticating members, field officers, and administrators.
• Issuing and validating official BRMGSS Membership IDs, Green Cards, and welfare certifications.
• Verifying genuine worker identity and eliminating duplicate or unauthorized registrations.
• Facilitating welfare assistance, accidental insurance claims, and union benefit distribution.
• Communicating vital union notices, railway circulars, and membership renewal updates.
• Enforcing application security through App PIN lock and role-based access management.

6 Data Sharing and Disclosure (No Commercial Sale Policy)

Your data is shared exclusively in the following limited circumstances:

• Authorized Union Leadership: Disclosed only internally to verified Zone and Division leadership responsible for worker welfare.
• Statutory Compliance: Shared with authorized government, labor, or railway authorities strictly when mandated under applicable Indian labor and trade union laws.
• Banking & Payment Partners: Bank account details are shared strictly with certified banking/payment processing partners solely for disbursing approved welfare funds or claims.

7 Data Security and Protection

We implement robust physical, administrative, and technological security safeguards to protect your personal data:

• Encryption in Transit: All communications between the mobile application and our servers are encrypted using modern HTTPS / TLS 1.3 cryptographic protocols.
• Access Control: System access is governed by strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and two-factor/PIN security.
• In-App PIN Protection: Users can configure a custom security PIN inside the app to prevent unauthorized access if the mobile device is lost or shared.

8 Data Retention Policy

We retain member records for as long as the individual maintains active membership or affiliation with Bharatiya Railway Mall Godam Shramik Sangha, and as required to satisfy legal, statutory, accounting, or union welfare reporting requirements. When data is no longer necessary, it is securely archived or permanently deleted.

The BRMGSS LMS application is exclusively intended for adult railway labor and union workers (aged 18 years and older). We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal data from children under the age of 18. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such data from our systems.
